Founder and CEO Antwoine Cooper spent ten years as a Southern California small-business owner before launching Coliseum. From 2015 to 2019, he founded and operated an independent retail shoe store in Long Beach. From 2019 to 2025, he founded and ran Carson Conglomerate Inc., a licensed trucking company in Carson — managing vehicle assets, DOT compliance, and the freight market through the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.
Coliseum is the natural evolution of that operator background. After a decade managing customer-facing retail and a federally regulated vehicle fleet, the move into used vehicle retail wasn't a leap — it was a logical next step.
We started Coliseum to do two things at once: run a transparent retail used car operation in Van Nuys, and offer dealer-authorized auction sourcing to retail buyers who want wholesale pricing without paying $10,000 for their own dealer license.
